North Tarouba Housing Development

The project involves the Design, Finance and Construction of approximately thirty-two (32) two-bedroom Deluxe single family units, two hundred and twenty-one (221) three-bedroom Deluxe single family units, ten (10) three-bedroom Duplex Units and one hundred and sixteen (116) three-bedroom Townhouses and its associated Infrastructural Works on approximately 29.5 hectares of undulating land at the National Housing Authority (NHA) Tarouba North Land Development, Tarouba Road, Marabella.

The site's Infrastructural Works was initiated approximately ten (10) years ago. The refurbishment of the existing infrastructure, as well as additional work, must be undertaken including the design and construction of new infrastructural works to facilitate the two Townhouse/Duplex sites.

The Units' design strategy is to maintain a simple layout and provide a structure of robust elements incorporating the use of new technology Aluminium Formwork that ensures "a house a day" is produced. This technology is a first in Trinidad and Tobago as it effectively utilizes the manpower and resources locally available to produce an international standard living accommodation, which is most economical.

Single Family Deluxe Units

The walls are constructed with reinforced concrete and finished with emulsion paint. The shower stall is tiled with 150mm x 150mm glazed ceramic tiles. The floor finish in all general areas is power float with 150mm x 150mm non-skid ceramic tiles to the shower stall. The Ceiling is 600mm x 600mm Acoustic Tiles Suspended Ceiling. The kitchen is fitted with low-level kitchen Cupboards. The unit is fitted with all associated Plumbing and Electrical fittings and fixtures.

Multi Family Duplex/Townhouse Units

The general walls are constructed with reinforced concrete and finished with emulsion paint. The shower stall is tiled with 150mm x 150mm glazed ceramic tiles. The floor finish in all general areas is power float with 150mm x 150mm non-skid ceramic tiles to the shower stall. The first floor Ceiling is 600mm x 600mm Acoustic Tiles Suspended Ceiling. The kitchen is fitted with low-level kitchen Cupboards. The unit is fitted with all associated Plumbing and Electrical fittings and fixtures.
