Customs & Excise Building, Trinidad

C&E Bld

The proposed works comprise the construction of a ten (10) storeyed office building approximately 94m x 15m x 43m high together with a basement services area, on steel/or precast prestressed concrete piled foundations.

The building floor area is 13,900m² and the basement service area is 2232m².

The end cores and center core are reinforced concrete walls with reinforced concrete beams, floor slab.

The two office areas are structural steelwork with columns and externalbeams encased in concrete, metal decking with concrete filling whilethe internal beams are treated with a cementitious fire-proofing. The perimeter walls are blockwork.

The roof is covered with Mastic Asphalt on isocrete whilst a roof siding protects the roof mounted air conditioning plant area.

The ceilings are tegular suspended ceiling tiles. The floor to the lobbies and toilets are ceramic and porcelain tiles.

Finishes also includes doors, toilet partitions, staircases, vanities and fixtures.

The Service Installation includes Plumbing, Air Conditioning, Electrical, Sprinkler Systems and Lifts.

The External Works consists of concrete walkways, boundary wall and landscaping.
