Queen’s Hall Redevelopment project awarded Caribbean Building Awards for Excellence
The Queen’s Hall Redevelopment project was honoured in the October 2006 Caribbean Building Awards for Excellence:- Best in Tourism/Entertainment category Penta award for best interior These inaugural awards were launched by the Association of Commonwealth Societies of Architects in the Caribbean (ACSAC) and hosted by the Ansa McAL Group of Companies. Judges were independent being from non-member countries – Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, and Curacao. Additionally, The Artistic Director of The Royal Opera House, Hazel Provence heralded Queen’s Hall as one of the best Halls in which they have played, and that the acoustics were near perfect at a 95% rating. The Royal Opera House Chamber Ensemble recently performed at Queen’s Hall, Trinidad.
